Chansey Champagne and Reyna Houston received the Bachelor of Science degree in Physics Summa Cum  Laude (with “highest honors” distinctions) at the commencement on May 13, 2023.

Chansey will join the Astronomy and Planetary Science PhD Program at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ in the fall. Her goal is to become a planetary defense scientist, searching for near-Earth objects, such as asteroids, that have the potential to impact Earth. Reyna will continue her education as a PhD student in the interdisciplinary Biophysical Science Program at the University of Chicago.



Franziska Duhr, Md Rumman Islam, and Muhammad A. Rahman were awarded the Master of Science Degrees in Physics. Franziska decided to return back to her native Germany and pursue a career in computational sciences. Rumman is excited about  beginning a new chapter in his life as a Ph.D. student in physics at Auburn University, Alabama. Muhammad is planning to continue his career in physics as a researcher or teacher.
