Where Science Meets Art: An Artist's Depiction of Moon Creation in Arnaudville, LA

Dorothea Altorfer, wife of one of our faculty members, created an event at the Fete de la Nature in Arnaudville, LA (https://www.atelierdelanature.org/), to illustrate to families and children the favored hypothesis among planetary scientists and astronomers for the formation of the Moon: the impact of Theia, a Mars-sized planet, on the forming Earth.
