Rob Perillo is the Chief Meteorologist at KATC-TV3 and a nationally recognized broadcast meteorologist with over 40 years of experience forecasting weather in Acadiana, including coverage of numerous major hurricanes. Widely regarded as Louisiana’s most honored meteorologist, he has received more than 25 Associated Press awards, an Emmy nomination, and top national distinctions such as Broadcaster of the Year and Weather Person of the Year nominee. His career spans broadcast meteorology, aviation forecasting for military, NASA, and space shuttle missions, and marine and industrial forecasting. Perillo has appeared on major national and international media outlets and documentary channels, and remains active in professional meteorological and climate communities. He holds a B.S. in Meteorology from SUNY Oswego and the AMS Seal of Approval for Television Weathercasting.
