Dr. Andy Hollerman (Physics) and his wife Lynn (Enterprise Application Services) recently volunteered their time to assist the Giving BAK Foundation to provide meals to persons affected by hurricane Ida last week in Denham Springs, Louisiana. In total, the Giving BAK Foundation prepared about 45,000 meals for persons in need of assistance. The Hollerman’s were part of a group of approximately twenty persons who prepared a variety of barbecue meats and other foods for distribution to the public. Both Dr. Hollerman and his wife Lynn have been responding in this way for hurricane and other disaster relief since 2011.
