The UL Physics Department is looking for one graduate student candidate (MS level) to work on a LaSPACE-funded research project entitled "Pilot Study for a Distributed Acoustic Interface for Manned Space Habitats." The project involves multichannel audio data acquisition and signal processing. For more details, contact Dr. Andi Petculescu (Principal Investigator) at: andi@louisiana.edu, (337) 482-1345. The selected student will receive a $1,200 monthly stipend for 12 months plus summer benefits. The project is scheduled to begin in Fall 2016 and is contingent upon the student being accepted in the Master of Science in Physics Program. Financial aid in the form of Teaching Assistantships is also available in the department for the continuing year.
